I found I was able to win more often than not.
Stick Leon in the upper left corner whenever possible, and follow suit for Lucia and Estinien for corners that best fit them, and you'll be okay.
If Chaos takes Leonheart for you, take up the lefthand column as soon as possible, as it'll force him to expose the 6 and 1 making it easier to capture him later.
